Henri Dolfen, a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University and a contributor to the GO-VIKING project, has been awarded the Best Poster Prize at the 2024 Nuclear Science Contest, organised by the Belgian Nuclear Society – Young Generation. The contest ceremony took place on November 26th at the Tabloo Communication Centre in Belgium.

Henri’s award-winning poster is based on his recent paper published in Nuclear Engineering and Design, titled: "Effect of stochastic deformation on the vibration characteristics of a tube bundle in axial flow." This work, supported by the GO-VIKING project, provides valuable insights into flow-induced vibrations, a critical topic in the safety and efficiency of nuclear reactor components.

In his words:
"I am pleased to have had the opportunity to present my work on flow-induced vibrations and to receive the Best Poster Award. I would like to thank my co-authors, Stefan Vandewalle and Joris Degroote, for their support, and the GO-VIKING project for funding this part of my research."
This recognition highlights the impactful research being conducted under the GO-VIKING project and its contributions to nuclear safety and innovation.
